Dr. Kanika Aggarwal Honored for Women Empowerment and Innovation at IWP Conclave 2025 in Dubai

Dubai, UAE | June 30, 2025Dr. Kanika Aggarwal, a distinguished aerospace engineer and educator from India, was honored with the Iconic Women Award 2025 at the 2nd International Women Parliament (IWP) Conclave, held on June 30 in Dubai, UAE. The event marked the International Day of Parliamentarism and celebrated outstanding contributions of women leaders from across the globe.

Dr. Aggarwal was recognized for her remarkable achievements in education, technology, and women empowerment. She has played a leading role in India’s prestigious BrahMos missile project and collaborated with international space and defense agencies, including the Russian Space Agency and DRDO. Her expertise in aerospace engineering, combined with her dedication to mentoring over 5,000 students worldwide, has made her a role model in both STEM and leadership spaces.

Currently focused on bridging the gap between education and employment, Dr. Aggarwal is building platforms to equip youth with industry-ready skills, especially in defense technology, innovation, and research. Her work has been honored internationally, including recognition from Russia and Afghanistan for her contributions to science and empowerment.

The IWP event was organized by Namita Ghimire, President of IWP (Nepal), under the global initiative Project100, which aims to empower women leaders in 100 countries. The event was attended by over 40 leaders and guests from around the world, including:
